Cainiao's “5-Day Global Delivery” selected as a cross-border E-commerce case at the World Internet Conference

Recently, Cainiao appeared at the Digital Silk Road Development Forum of the World Internet Conference, where the World Internet Conference Cross-border E-commerce Practice Casebook (2024) ("Casebook") was officially released, and Cainiao's "5-Day Global Delivery" cross-border e-commerce product was successfully selected.

According to the person in charge of the World Internet Conference, cross-border E-commerce has become a new engine for global economic growth with huge development potential. In the "Casebook", Cainiao launched the cross-border express product "5-Day Global Delivery" in 2023, with continuous investment in global logistics infrastructure, efficient integration of logistics resources, and extensive application of logistics technology in all fields of cross-border logistics, Cainiao has realized the fully seamless connection, provided customers with a new cross-border logistics service to improve the quality and efficiency of cross-border E-commerce logistics services.

At present, Cainiao "5-Day Global Delivery " has covered Spain, France, South Korea, Germany, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, over10 countries and regions, the cross-border e-commerce logistics experience is rapidly converging to a domestic-like logistics experience, helping merchants to increase the repurchase rate.

"We want to make '5-Day Global Delivery ' a global flash delivery for cross-border merchants." Ding Hongwei, vice president of Cainiao Group and general manager of international express, introduced that logistics time efficiency is an important breakthrough to drive cross-border E-commerce platforms to improve unit volume.

Recently, Cainiao has joined hands with AliExpress to continuously improve the cross-border logistics experience. First opened the cross-border logistics lines of "Brand Overseas" and "Large Goods Overseas" for AliExpress merchants, so as to reduce the burden of special categories of goods overseas; Recently, it has opened warehouse of "special forces style" in Chengdu, Qingdao, Tianjin in a week, the cross-border warehouse opened to the door of the merchants in the industrial zone, so that more merchants to enjoy the hosting mode of traffic dividends. The cross-border warehouse at the doorstep of the industrial belt merchants makes more merchants enjoy the traffic dividend brought by the hosting model.

It is reported that the World Internet Conference launched a case collection this January, and widely collected practices and experiences in cross-border E-commerce from various places, fields and links in the industrial chain through field research, targeted invitation and online notification. In addition to the release of the Casebook, at the World Internet Conference Digital Silk Road cross-border e-commerce workshop held concurrently with the Forum participants from 27 countries around the world went to the Caijiao Xi'an Non-Air Transit Centre to visit and learn about international express delivery, participants from 27 countries visited the Cainiao Xi'an Non-Air Transshipment Centre to learn about international express.
