On the morning of May 15 (Wednesday), Shenzhen Yantian International Container Terminal, a batch of containers carried by Cainiao successfully shipped, marking the official opening of Cainiao's first U.S.-West E-commerce express line in South China.According to the staff of the Cainiao shipping team, the express line is customized for the Alibaba system of E-commerce platforms, vessels depart every Wednesday from Yantian Port in Shenzhen and take an average of 12.5 days to reach the Port of Long Beach in Los Angeles directly.Once the goods arrives, Cainiao will provide local customs clearance, port-to-warehouse transport, overseas warehousing and tailgate delivery.

It's worth noting that the Panama Canal to the U.S. East is in severe drought, resulting in significant discounts in vessel transitability and timeliness. Therefore, many cross-border E-commerce sellers choose the more stable U.S. West routes, and send goods to the U.S. East through sea-rail intermodal transport.

Shenzhen is the capital of cross-border E-commerce in China. Public information shows that the number of cross-border E-commerce merchants in Shenzhen is over 150,000 companies. For cross-border E-commerce sellers, cross-border logistics services with timeliness and extreme cost effectiveness are always in demand. The person-in-charge of the Cainiao shipping team told reporters, "The new U.S.-West E-commerce express line, jointly opened by Cainiao and ZIM Integrated Shipping, has the core advantages of 'stability, accuracy and speed'. In the future, cross-border E-commerce sellers in South China will not only ship products at Yantian Port, but also enjoy the services provided by Cainiao, such as guaranteed cabin and container, late cut-off of orders at the start of the shipment, and picking up of containers on the next day after arrival at the port.”

It is known that Cainiao is one of the world's largest cross-border E-commerce logistics companies. At present, Cainiao Shipping covers Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, Oceania, the Americas and other regions, forming a global intercontinental route network with domestic port cities as the starting point. Last year, Cainiao shipping team launched the "China-Korea Same-day Delivery" E-commerce express line and the "Singapore-Malaysia Daily Ship" E-commerce express line to efficiently help cross-border sellers.
